Pioneer Day & Fiesta Days

For Pioneer Day (July 24th) this year we went to our town's celebration called Fiesta Days. In the morning, we went to the big parade. It was a fun parade. The kids had fun running after candy, although it took Isaac some time to warm up to it. LOL! Parker wasn't scared to go out and get it though!
Gotta love the pink tractor. ;)

This is a float for one of the local nurseries - in case you're wondering. :)

After the parade, we went home for a bit, then headed over to the festival and walked through the booths. We had lunch there and watched some of the performances. One of Isaac's flip flops broke (this boy is so hard on shoes!) so we headed home for a bit to rest and get out of the heat. Josh's parent's invited us over for dinner, so we went to their house and ate, then headed back to the festival so we could go to the carnival. We had to stop along the way and try some deep-fried Oreos. They were SO good!!

I was SO excited because they finally had a different carnival this year. I didn't like the carnival they had the previous years because all it had was the super scary thriller rides or little kid rides... nothing in between. The one they had this year was SO much better and even had my favorite ride - Tilt-0-Whirl. :) The only downfall was that this carnival was really expensive. :( So anyway, we went on a few rides at the carnival then headed over to the sports park to watch the fireworks. They put on a great firework show, and the kids had lots of fun. It was hilarious because Bryce kept saying, "WOW!" and "WHOA!" the whole time. It was funny because I think he was mimicking other people more than saying that for himself. : )

We had a great 24th this year!
