Las Vegas Vacation - Day 3

On the third day of our vacation, we again went swimming in the morning. Then we got ready and caught the resort's shuttle to go down to the Las Vegas Strip. We originally thought that riding the shuttle would be worth avoiding the headache of parking, but later decided driving ourselves was MUCH easier and parking wasn't bad at all. Oh well, it was sort of fun to ride the shuttle anyway. : )
After we got off the shuttle, our first stop was New York, New York where we had a coupon for Josh to ride the roller coaster. (I am NOT a roller coaster fan, so I had no problem waiting with the kids for Josh to ride. : ) ) I didn't get a picture of Josh on the coaster because we were inside the casino waiting for him, but here's a picture of the one he went on. He had a blast!

A few pictures outside of New York, New York:

Next we went to M&M World, which is basically a four-story M&M store with everything M&M. They had everything from M&M playing cards to M&M shower curtains. It was fun to walk through, although a little pricey. They had a cool 3D movie that we got to watch which was fun.

The boys by the M&M racecar:

After M&M world, we headed over to check out Excalibur. We walked around and the boys played a few games at the arcade (didn't get pics of that for some reason!). We didn't get to stay long here because we had dinner reservations to make.

After that we headed over to MGM Grand where we had dinner reservations at the Rainforest Cafe. We went in knowing this place was expensive, but we had a good coupon, and we thought it would be worth the price for the cool atmosphere. Well... this place ended up being a joke. Seriously. The atmosphere is okay. It has animatronic jungle animals, trees, lightening and thunder... like you would expect... but the tables are set so that you aren't even really very close to any of the cool stuff (and we had reservations!). I'll take the Mayan ANY day over this place. On top of that, the food is NOT that good for the outrageous prices. I mean if I'm going to pay a lot for dinner, I kinda expect it to be really good food and to get good portions. Nope. Just okay food and smallish portions. Ten dollar kids meal = two very mini hot dogs on very mini buns with a cup of applesauce. UGH. The service was awful too. Anyway, we live and we learn, and that's my vent for the night. LOL!

Ouside the MGM Grand:

The boys standing under a snake at the Rainforest Cafe:This picture was funny because right after I took the shot, this elephant moved
and practically pushed the kids off. Guess he didn't want them so close! :)

Josh made me try on this hat and take a picture:

After the Rainforest Cafe, we decided to go back to Excalibur to play at the arcade some more (still didn't get pics). The boys had a lot of fun playing all the little games. Josh played Skee Ball and won me a stuffed horse... Aww! It was a fun night.

Isaac wanted his picture in front of this knight:

The castle at night. Looks even cooler in person:

We were getting ready to get back on the shuttle home.

After that we boarded our shuttle and went back to the condo! Very fun day!
