The Rest of July

The weekend after July 4th, we went to Fish Lake for my family's reunion. Everyone was able to make it except my sister Cammie and her family. It was a fun trip. It's been my family's tradition for many years to stay in the Forest Service cabin every year. This year was probably our last stay at the cabin as my Dad retired soon after this trip. Kinda sad!

All the grandkids at the cabin (except Sydney):
Grandpa lassoing all the grandkids - lots of little boys!:

We did lots and lots of fishing both from the shore and from the boat. We caught a few trout and many perch, but everyone had lots of fun.

At one point I told Isaac and Parker to put some sunscreen on.
This is what I saw when I turned around. LOL!

Out on the boat. Grandma stayed on shore with Bryce and Quinn:

At one point we looked up and Parker had fallen asleep
on the boat with his line in the water. Right
after we took this picture he caught a HUGE trout
on his line! He woke up quick and reeled it in. :)

Bryce had fun catching some fish too:

Back at home the following week, Josh decided to take me on a surprise date one day. He arranged for a sitter and took me to Utah lake to try out the fishing there. We also ate dinner at the Mongolian Grill in Springville on the way up. It was different adjusting to fishing in a "city" lake. It's just a little different than the mountain lakes I'm used to, but it was fun. Josh even ended up catching a catfish! We only had our cell phones for cameras, so not the greatest pics, especially at dusk.

The moon was amazing that night! Hard
to capture with a camera phone though.

And last, just a few miscellaneous pictures, mostly of baby Quinn at 3 months old!

This was a cute picture we took of Isaac and Parker.
We had been up to Cowabunga Bay and went out to dinner
at a Thai place in Sandy. It was really yummy!
Isaac ordered a rice dish that was served inside
a pineapple, and Parker ordered some noodle soup
that ended up coming in a big bowl. It was pretty funny
to see them with their dinners. :)

I have to say I was so suprised to see a new post from you! I have begun to believe I am blogging alone these days. Your family is so cute, and your boys are getting so big!

Thanks Tammi. I know, I've gotten SO behind on this. I don't know why it's so hard for me to keep up on it! Hopefully I can get it caught up and kept up this time.
