One Sunday, Quinn and I decided that Daddy was being grumpy. So Quinn put a "crab" tattoo on him. Hehe
(Ok, he was exagrating the crabbiness at this point). :)
Josh and I tried Pho for the first time. It was pretty good. You definitely have
to be in the mood for it, I would say. I guess I'm not a huge fan of noodle soups. Fun to
try though!
Isaac became a Boy Scout!
Awhile back we had been trying a meal from a different country
each week. We decided to try it again and had a Polish meal with
Perogis, a Polish sausage/cabbage dish and some green cauliflower.
This little machine had been a part of our lives for many years. We used it to tube-feed
Bryce. I took a picture of it as Bryce was finally able to eat enough food by mouth that
we were able to stop using the feeding tube and send his pump back! Yay! Huge milestone.
Another thing that happened in January that I should mention for journalistic purposes,
is that our doctor gave us the go ahead to try for another baby. We thought and prayed
about it after the miscarriage, and really felt strongly that we needed to have one more.
A couple of weeks later, my doctor called me and told me that after some blood tests
I had had because of some weird symptoms I had been having and a discussion she had
with a Rheumatologist, that they were diagnosing me with Systemic Lupus. She
recommended we hold off on trying for a baby because of the dangers of Lupus and
pregnancy..... But, by then it was too late.
FEBRUARY:
Another shot of our new Boy Scout ready for his first meeting. He was so excited to move on from Cub scouts!
Sadly, a police officer in our community was killed and the scouts went
out to hold flags in honor of him during his funeral procession. I took
Isaac, Parker and some friends.
A reporter fro KSL radio interviewed the kids.
We were never able to find out how to listen to their
interview, so not sure how it ended up, but it was kind of fun.
In February, Bryce was baptized! He was so excited.
For the Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet this year, they had a Star Wars theme.
Each child had to make a cake with the theme. Parker made a light-saber cake.
And Bryce made "wookie" cupcakes.
The decorations were so cute! This is a napkin holder. They did a great job.
For some reason we ended up doing Isaac's Arrow of Light
ceremony late. So he donned his Cub Scout uniform one more
time and received his award.

Valentine's Day boxes! Parker made one of himself with
a hole where his mouth was for the Valentines to go. It turned
out so cute and was pretty funny. :)
Isaac, my character boy was into My Little Ponies and Link
from Legend of Zelda, so that was his box.
Josh and I decided to go out for lunch on Valentines Day and try the
Banana Leaf restaurant in Provo.
We also put the kids to bed early and made a fun dinner together
for our "date". We had Lobster tails and asparagus. (can't remember if
there was anything else)
The Fifth Grade studies the presidents and they do a Wax Museum where each student is
one of the presidents or one of their wives. They make a speech as if they were the president
and present it at the museum.
Isaac was John F. Kennedy.
He did a great job with his presentation and speech!
And Bryce had another surgery - another ear tube placement.
