Disneyland - October 2011

But first, a few cute pictures of Quinn from the beginning of October. He was 6 months old....

This year we decided to take our family vacation during Fall Break. We took a trip to California to go to Disneyland and Legoland. We left home early on Saturday (15th) morning and headed south. We stopped in St. George and had lunch with Josh's grandpa and step-grandma at Chuck-a-rama. It was nice to have a little visit with them. After lunch we continued on our trip. We decided to take the trip slower this time and instead of driving the whole distance to California, we spent the night in Las Vegas. We ended up getting a good deal at Circus Circus, so we stayed there. It was nice, because with our room we got free passes for the kids to their buffet, so we were able to eat there for both dinner and breakfast the next day. The kids loved that! The only thing that was hard about staying at Circus Circus was that the parking garage was quite a distance from the rooms, so it wasn't the most fun thing hauling four kids and all of our luggage that far. The next morning we walked through the Fun Dome and the stores. We decided not to do any of the rides there and save our money for Disneyland. We headed out and drove to California. Josh's parents ended up joining us to go to Disneyland for one day, so that night we met them at the hotel and then went to dinner at Red Robin down the street from the hotel. Our hotel room was cool because it had a separate little room for the kids with a bunkbed, a little table and chairs, and their own TV.

The next morning was our first day at Disneyland! We had park-hopper passes so we could go to both Disneyland and California Adventures. Since we went in October, everything was all decked out for Halloween - so fun!

Grandma and Grandpa Chappell with the boys:
In front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle:
We were excited to get to go on Small World this time because
it had been closed the last two times we went to Disneyland:

Waiting to see Mickey Mouse:

Bryce was SO excited to see his favorite guy!
Typical Bryce - he had to try to push all the buttons on Mickey's TV:
Trying out Mickey's car:

"Someday I'll get to ride on all these big rides!"

Grandma and Grandpa went home the next morning, and we headed to our 2nd day at Disneyland. We got to see Donald Duck when we first entered the park. He was all dressed up for Halloween.

This day we ended up spending a lot of time at Innovations. It's SO cool, but you have to be careful because you could literally spend all day in there there's so much to see and it's easy to lose track of time!

Isaac got to be in a game show at Innovations. :)

Disneyland's not the same without having a churro!

Gotta love Dumbo!
Someone got his first taste of banana when Josh wasn't looking. :)
He's been a big banana fan ever since:

I love Disneyland landscaping! I want them to landscape our yard.

Resting after a long day at Disneyland.

On our third and last day at Disneyland we started out at California Adventures so Josh could go on his favorite ride - California Screamin' before it got too busy.

We found some cool toys! :)

We had fun trying on the cool hats:

Back at Disneyland

We had Disneyland corn dogs for lunch. The best corn dogs.

Quinn LOVED the Teacups. He just giggled and giggled.
Before we went to Disneyland we let the kids do extra chores to earn money for souvenirs. They each got to pick out their own souvenirs during the trip.Parker just had to have one of the cool giant lollipops!

Our last night at Disneyland! It's always hard to leave.
