Halloween 2011

Parker wasn't really a hot dog for Halloween. LOL We were browsing through the Halloween costumes one day and I had him try it on. It was hilarious! Couldn't talk him into it though. :)
At least I got a picture!

The night before Halloween we all carved our pumpkins. I didn't end up with a picture of Isaac's finished pumpkin for some reason. I think he had already taken his outside or something.

My pumpkin:
This was one of the lunches I made for the kids for Halloween:
I didn't get many pictures on Halloween day. Seems like we were just in such a rush that evening trying to get out the door for trick or treating. Cammie and her family came over to trick-or-treat with us. It was such a nice night! The weather was perfect.

Quinn was a little skunk for Halloween:
Not the greatest picture. Bryce was a monster, Isaac was a soldier,
Parker was a ninja and Quinn was a skunk:
I made spiderweb cookies for Halloween! :)

Witchfest - October 2011

Since we had our family vacation in October, we didn't have as much time for fun Halloween activities and we passed on doing our annual Halloween Party, so we decided to take the kids up to Gardener Village to see the Witchfest. It was really cute. The kids got to do a scavenger hunt and search for different witches throughout the village. After they found all of them they could have a cookie at the bakery. It was a fun day.

They got their cookie! Parker was mad about something at this point,
so he wouldn't turn around for the picture. LOL

Legoland - October 2011

For our last day in California, we decided we wanted to go to one of the other theme parks. Since Isaac lives and breathes Legos, we decided to go to Legoland this time. :) It was a fun place to visit! The whole park was full of things made from Legos. The only problem was that the park was only open from 10:00 to 5:00 and it just was NOT enough time to see the entire park. :( Unfortunately, by the time they closed we hadn't had time to make it through all of the attractions and rides. Too bad because I think some of the more fun rides were on the side we didn't make it to. We still had a lot of fun though.

Isaac and Parker, Josh and Bryce on a safari ride:

Dinosaur roller coaster:
Bryce with Bob the Builder:

I had to take a picture of this baby vending machine. LOL Kinda
cool to be able to buy a binky if you lose it. :)

Lego Indiana Jones!

And Lego Harry Potter and Hagrid!

Oh no! The lion ate the boys!

Don't these rocks remind you of the Gnomes on "Return to Oz"?
Airplane ride:

Pirate ship ride:

Log ride:

Parker & Isaac with Lego Chewbaca and R2D2:

They had lots of awesome Star Wars displays:

Yay for Ewoks! :)

The boys were excited to pose by Lego Darth Vader!
One of our favorite parts of the whole park were all of the elaborate displays made of Legos. We could have spent a ton more time than we did walking through and looking at all of them. They were so detailed!

Lego Capitol Building:

Look! It's LegObama! :)

Lego Trick or Treaters:

A little Lego fountain:

Lego Mardi Gras:
The kids LOVED the Lego Las Vegas, especially since
we had just been there:

There was even a little Lego pumpkin patch!

Cool! Lego Buffy the Vampire Slayer! :)

The Lego witches were cool:
Lego lighthouse:

Lego New York City:

The kids got to meet Bob the Builder:

The Lego dragon was cool!

This was the cutest ride:

I think Josh was a little disappointed with Legoland because there weren't many "FUN" rides since it is mostly for little kids. He finally found a ride that he liked though:

The kids had too much fun in the souvenir shop at the end! They got some little Lego kits and we got a Lego game. They had fun playing with them when we got back to our hotel. It was a fun day! :)
