Spring Break 2014 - Part One: Zoo

For Quinn's birthday activity (a couple days later) and our first activity of
Spring Break, we took a trip up to the Hogle Zoo.  It had been a few years since
we had been and Quinn hadn't been yet.

The elephants are so fun to watch.

It was fun to see bald eagles!

The bears were so funny!  We sat and watched them play for a long time.

Quinn watching a porcupine:

What a cool snake!

The bats are always one of my favorites for some reason:

Giraffes.  Another favorite.

Bryce has a hard time walking a lot, so he
rides in the stroller.  Quinn had fun pushing him around. :)

Back at the elephants, watching them eat.

Josh was able to join us a little later.

After the zoo, we decided to go to Baskin Robins and get an ice cream cone.

Messy Bryce. :)

Quinn's 3rd Birthday 2014

First, a picture of our new little one!  Because of the miscarriage, they did a quick early
ultrasound just to make sure everything was okay with this one.  After my Lupus
diagnosis, I was put on baby aspirin because there is a blood clotting disorder that can
be associated with Lupus and can cause miscarriage. (I later found out I didn't have this disorder, thank goodness!)
I was so happy to get a view of this little one and see those little legs just a kickin'!

Quinn turned three on April 5th.  He was SO excited
to get his own bike!

He chose homemade mac 'n' cheese and carrots for his birthday dinner.

Quinn loves his trains!  He chose a train birthday cake.

Lots of fun riding his new bike!

March 2014

In March, I finally got around to making baby blankets for my friend and my sister who had babies in December.

Not a good picture, but Isaac graduated from the D.A.R.E program.

Bryce is so funny.  For quite awhile he fixated on this dinosaur toy that he had
to bring everywhere, even school.  The funny thing is  that it was only the back half
of the dinosaur.  We did end up getting him a whole dinosaur to play with.  haha!

Another fun Pack Night for Cub Scouts.  They had some speakers teach the kids
about service dogs and how they are trained.  Then they got to make and dress up
in these cute dog costumes.

The kids had some free meal cards for the Spaghetti Factory, so we went to dinner.
They had someone there doing balloon animals for the kids.

Parker's monkey:

Quinn very specifically wanted a blue cow. :)

Bryce got a giraffe:

And Isaac got an owl:

Quinn just loves Josh's Ball of Whacks. He
will just play and play with it.

Bryce had "hat day" at school, so he chose this Mario hat.

Quinn and another window he was looking out of.
