Pumpkin Town

All the cousins (and Aunt Cammie) at Pumpkin Town.

On October 12 my mom and my sister Marcie came up to visit my other sister and so we all got together (along with my brother) and went to Pumpkin Town. This is where Josh and I took the kids last year and they had a lot of fun. It has a little (kid sized) corn maze, a place with climbing toys and animals, a section with those blow-up bouncy toys, and a light show that you can walk through.

This year it was fun for the kids to do it all with Grandma, cousins, aunts and uncle! We didn't have a lot of time because it was a school day, but we went through the corn maze, and then just walked through the other stuff and went to pick out pumpkins.

We usually don't get our pumpkins until closer to Halloween, but we decided to do it all early this year since we will be moving ON Halloween! I left my camera sitting at home, so all these pictures were taken with Josh's cell phone.

After we got our pumpkins we headed up to Cammie's house and she made us a yummy dinner. We had plans to carve pumpkins there with everyone, but it got to be late and the kids had school in the morning so we headed home. We had lots of fun and it was fun to see everyone (and I got to see my niece and nephews!).

Enjoying Autumn

Last weekend the boys and I decided to take a ride up the canyon to see the fall leaves before they were all gone. It was such a nice day and we had a fun time. We found a beautiful spot to stop and get out of the car. We took lots of pictures and just enjoyed all the colors! I was really glad we decided to go up because a lot of the colorful leaves were already gone!

Parker wanted to take a picture too:

He also wanted us to get a picture of him with his "antlers" :)

Nevada, Pine Nuts, & Lehman's Cave!

The last weekend in September (2 weeks ago) we went to Great Basin National Park in Nevada to go camping and gather pine nuts. I totally forgot my camera!! I was so bummed. Josh had his phone so he was able to get a few pictures with that. We had a great time though. My mom and dad and brother were there as well. The weather was perfect camping weather and so nice! We camped for two nights right there in the park. On that Saturday we spent most of the day gathering our pine nuts. It was a sticky job with all the pine gum, but we ended up with quite a few! The next day we decided to go see Lehman's Cave. I haven't been for about 10 years and Josh had never seen it, so it was fun to go and to take the kids. The picture above is from a little drive we took up to Wheeler Peak in Great Basin. The pictures below are some that Josh took in Lehman's cave. They didn't turn out the greatest, but I'm glad we at least got something! We had a great weekend!

Llamas!

A few weeks ago some friends from church got together for a little play group for the kids. We went to the Krishna Temple to feed the llamas. We ended up getting the time wrong, so we got there when everyone else was finishing up, but Parker and Bryce had fun (Isaac was in school). It was kind of funny because there were several llamas, but we only really got to feed one because he was a BIG bully! haha All the white one had to do was look at the other llamas and they would leave. They didn't even try to taste any of the apples or carrots that we offered. Finally I tried distracting the Meany Llama with some food while Parker went to the other side and fed another llama. LOL - It worked for a minute. They also had a cool parrot. It said "hello" when we walked by it... which we kind of expected. But the funny thing was that when we walked BACK past it going the other way, it said "goodbye!" We thought that was pretty cool.
