Parker's Birthday Party

Today (yes, my blog is finally caught up!) Parker had a birthday party with his friends. We held it at a little park nearby. Parker has totally been in to dolphins this year, so we had a dolphin party! We did a little dolphin craft (dolphin shaped sand bottles), then we had a dolphin shaped pinata and ate dolphin cupcakes! It was a fun party! As you can see, I finally got around to take Parker to get his haircut after he cut it himself. :) It turned out short, but cute!

Xango 5K Run!

On September 11, Xango held a 5K run to sponsor Best Buddies which is a company that helps children with disabilities. Josh and Parker decided to enter the race! Josh's mom, sister, and niece also participated. They all walked except for Josh who ended up beating his time despite having the flu the night before! Good job Josh! Parker walked with Grandma and Aunt Melissa. He made it about half way then snagged a ride on one of the golf carts. He had fun!

Happy 5th Birthday Parker!

Parker turned 5 on September 6th! I can't believe it has been 5 years since I had my little footling-breech car-born baby! :) Parker had a fun birthday! He woke up and opened his presents. He got a bike! He also got a new card game and a toy tractor. Isaac got him a little pirate set and Grandma & Grandpa Bell got him a remote control 4-wheeler. After church we had his birthday dinner of homemade pizza and artichokes. I made him a dolphin birthday cake. It was a fun day!

Our New House!

We broke ground on our new house on August 26th! It was a LONG wait and took much patience on our part, but we finally got things started. I took so long to get my blog caught up, that I finally ended up posting our house-building pictures on Facebook. I'll post a few here though for those who don't do facebook and want to see. : ) These pictures span between August 26th and September 12. They are moving FAST! :)

First Day of Preschool for Bryce & Parker!

Bryce started preschool on August 31st and Parker Started on September 1. They both go to different preschools since Bryce is in the special ed program. They were both SO excited to start. Bryce couldn't wait to go get on the bus. Parker is starting at a new preschool this year. His teacher from last year was planning on teaching the exact same curriculum this year as she did last year, so we wanted to get Parker into a school that would be more challenging for him and it's not far from our new house! We are super impressed with the new school and teacher. She focuses a lot on reading which Parker loves and does really well with. We're excited for the new year! **Note - as you can see, the day before the first day of school, Parker decided to cut his own hair again! Silly boy had silly hair the 1st day of school. LOL!

Soccer!

This year Isaac decided to join soccer. He had his first game on August 25th. The lighting was bad, so the pictures are not great (again!). Isaac seems to enjoy soccer (or so he says). I'm not sure he's completely into it, but we'll see as the season goes on. I think it has really helped with the transition to a new school because all of his team members go to the same school and some are in his class! It's been fun watching his games! :)

This is on a different day of Isaac playing goalie:

Isaac's First Day of First Grade!

On August 19th, Isaac started first grade! Because we will be moving soon, we decided to start him out at the new school so he wouldn't have to switch in the middle of the school year. I felt bad that he had to switch schools, but we decided that in the long run it would be better to go ahead and switch him. I was a little nervous about it, but he did just fine! He loves his new school and his teacher. He seems to be making friends just fine too! We're excited to see what the new year brings for Isaac.

(sorry about the bad picture quality! It was bad lighting to begin with, but it got even worse when I uploaded it)

Wayne Co. Fair

On August 15th we went down to Loa to visit my Mom (Dad was off hunting with my brother), and to go to my 10 year class reunion. While we were there we went to some of the county fair activities. That morning, Josh ran in their 5K race. It was a lot colder in Loa than it had been in Salem the week before. : ) We had fun watching anyway, and I think Josh had fun in his race.

Josh got a gold coin for being in the race:
Later that morning we went to the parade. The boys had lots of fun getting candy this time and there was LOTS of it! I think I appreciate the parade and fair and such in Wayne more now than I ever did when I lived there! It's fun to come back and do these things with my kids.

After the parade we walked over and went to the fair for a little bit. Parker and Josh went on the climbing wall and the boys (including Josh) went on the blowup slide that they had there. It was fun to walk around. I was surprised how few people I recognized though!

That afternoon we went to my 10 year class reunion at Capitol Reef. They had a lunch and some little crafts for the kids. We had a nice time and it was good to see everyone who came! We didn't get a huge turn out - probably about 20 out of 50. After the reunion we headed back home!
